How FileToolz handles file processing, privacy, and website data.

File Processing & Data Handling

Local Processing Only

Files selected for processing remain in your browser and are not uploaded to a remote server for processing. Operations run locally using JavaScript, HTML5 Canvas, and WebAssembly.

No Server Storage of Files

FileToolz operates entirely without backend file-processing servers. We do not store, copy, or analyze the contents of your documents or images on any remote server.

Temporary Browser Memory

Your files exist only in your browser's temporary memory and local Object URLs while you use a tool. Once you close the tab or refresh the page, those references are discarded. For draft-enabled utilities (such as the Resume Generator) or PWA share target receiving, data is stored strictly on your local device (via browser localStorage or IndexedDB) and is never transmitted to any server.

No Account Required

There is no sign-up, no login, and no account system. You can access and use all available tools without providing personal registration details.

Advertising and Cookies

To keep FileToolz freely available without charging subscription fees, the website may be supported by third-party advertising services, including Google.

Third-party advertising vendors may use cookies, web beacons, or similar technologies to serve, measure, and personalize ads based on a user's prior visits to this website or other websites across the internet.

Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to users based on their visits to FileToolz and/or other sites on the web.

Users can learn more about how Google manages data in its ad products or opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ad Settings. You may also opt out of third-party vendor use of cookies for personalized advertising by visiting www.aboutads.info. For comprehensive details on how Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services, review How Google uses information from sites or apps that use our services.

Website Analytics: In addition to serverless CDN analytics, FileToolz utilizes Google Analytics 4 (Measurement ID G-DBNCFKYCB9) to measure aggregate website traffic, navigation paths, and platform usage. File contents, uploaded documents, and local computation data are processed strictly in browser memory and are never transmitted to Google Analytics. You can prevent your website activity from being available to Google Analytics by installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.

Where legally required (including the European Economic Area, UK, and Switzerland), personalized advertising and cookie usage are governed in accordance with Google's EU User Consent Policy. Once a Google-certified Consent Management Platform (CMP) message is configured and published via the Google AdSense dashboard, visitors in applicable European jurisdictions will receive the required interactive consent dialogue prior to personalized ad serving. In the interim and across all regions, visitors can manage personalized advertising preferences via Google Ad Settings or their browser cookie controls.

Summary

File processing operations execute locally on your device without uploading files to remote servers. In contrast, standard website access generates typical web telemetry: third-party services (such as Google Analytics 4 and Google AdSense) use cookies and network headers for traffic analytics and advertising in accordance with industry standards. You can manage or disable advertising cookies at any time via Google Ad Settings or your browser controls.
